There is no archival quality optical media yet. Vinyl doesn't wear out that easily, just take care of it and don't use too much tracking weight on your tonearm if you can help it. Of course, if you're sitting there with a quarter taped to the top of your cartridge trying to pretend you're DJ Qbert...
